Fabrizio: They might yet repair the boat and come roaring back.

These yachts fly on foils above the waves, reaching Donald Campbell speeds and, it is said, sometimes can even sail faster than the wind that’s blowing against them. Cameras on the yachts let you feel you are on board yourself and cranking the winders to raise the sails and gripping the helm. Watching on TV is, shall we say, medium cool, because of the yachts which are 25% airplane, 25% yacht, 25% computer game and 25% gymnastic machines. On another media tack, it’s like a show, the yachtsmen wear lycra gear and crash helmets and prance around in cockpits as if they were Starship Enterprise crew doing ballet.
