The best of times, the worst of times…
Vitaly: Pretty bad couple of years it was. Lost parents, lost friends, lost job, stranded by a virus.Alexander: How did you keep cheerful?
Vitaly: Kept a gratitude journal. Wrote down blessings.
Alexander: What was there to be grateful about?
Vitaly: Having a roof over one’s head.
Alexander: You needed to write that?
Vitaly: I came upon people with no shelter. Every night, after dinner, I went for a walk. Thought of one or two things to be grateful for. Wrote them down. Next night, added another one or two. The list grew. If you do not master your circumstances then you will be mastered by them.

Voice-over
Each day, get up, get over obstacles, get through the day, find work-arounds, and at the end of the day write gratitude notes. It becomes a path to keep one going.
