Admitting to being mistaken…

Nigel: I’m sorry. I told you the other day I thought banoffee was a German concoction.

Ian: It’s not?

Nigel: It’s English.

Ian: What made you think…

Nigel: I first tasted one in a small town to Germany. It was on the menu as “b-a-h-n-o-f-f-e-e”. So I just thought it had to be German.

Ian: English?

Nigel: Two Brits laid claim to inventing it. 1970s. I had to put the record straight.

Ian: Chocolate soldiers are found out sooner or later.
