Retirement speech

Reminding…
.
Liz: Tomorrow’s your last day. At the meeting, they’ll ask you to say a few words?
.
Richard: Give a speech you mean? Too right, they will. But don’t worry. I’ve been in this job for 25 years, seen a few people come and go. I’ve seen what works and what doesn’t. Focus on the positive and deliver in a light tone.
.
Liz: You practiced already?
.
Richard: Of course I rehearsed. Leaving is an important protocol. This is how they remember you for all the years you were there.
.
Liz: You rehearsed? A lot of people just ad lib their farewell.
.
Richard: If you want to go out leaving a good impression, believe me, rehearse. Audio, video, practice on friends.
