Tove Jansson and the Moomins

Ink sketch legacy...
.
Eevi: They curate good exhibitions at the Mori.
.
Aino: Bit pricey though. And no discounts for seniors as I learned when I went to see the Tove Jansson exhibition on Friday.
.
Eevi: Moomins?
.
Tove Jansson and Moomins
Aino: Did you read Moomin books?
.
Eevi: Of course. Growing up in Finland, how could you not? Is it worth going? Ten out of ten?
.
Aino: It’s worth going to see the original tiny ink sketches she made. You have to peer closely but they are exquisite. Moomins made her name. A few ruggedly romantic photos of her life on islands and on boats. Second part of the exhibition is about turning Moomins into mass-produced toys and theme parks. Seemed at odds with the original innocent ink sketches. Because of that, six out of ten.
