Fruit Concert in a Plum Garden

Sasanqua
Jacky and Julia pass through the Camellia Garden…

Jacky: Nice japonica.
Julia: It’s a sasanqua.
Jacky: What’s the difference?
Flute Concert in the Plum Garden
Julia: They're both camellias, related to the tea plant, Camellia sinensis. Japonicas have larger flowers, larger leaves, stand taller. Sasanquas tend to be smaller in flower, leaf and stature. Just look at the pollen! Bees must be busy.
Announcement: There will be a fruit concert in the Plum Garden at 3 pm.
Jacky: That’s now. Over there! Lucky!

Voice-over
Fruit concert? That’s what was announced. So we pass from flower viewing to a koto and flute music recital. Age-old activities, light on the landscape. Film of it here.
