Bud: Oh no. Pete Sprat said it’s a con. You
think it’s about baseball but it’s really about maths.
Father: Edutainment!
Bud: So which is it: education or entertainment?

enigmatic aphorisms, particularly about media. In one, he said, “Anyone who
tries to make a distinction between education and entertainment doesn't know
the first thing about either.” He foresaw educational entertainment. A man

ReplyDeleteI knew that Marshall Mcluhan is very important for modern medium in this assignment. I was surprised that he predicted World Wide Web almost thirty years before it was invented and I think his concept of medium is interesting.
It was difficult for me to understand synopsis of McLuhan.

He developed the original media studies from all viewpoints.

ReplyDeleteHe insisted that Media is Message.It is interesting word for me.Because I have thought media is only a tool to tell a lot of information.
Accoding to this movie, I believe that his ideas lead to newspapers and electricity, and it's a basis of the modern medium. So, the existence of modern medium is sure to his favor.

he got a Ph.D at University of Cambridge. this is not related on what he did to the social, but i recognized that cambridge could transmit something to the world.
I was surprised that Marshall Mcluhan's great achivement has greatly influenced around the world.

Thanks for the comments team! Just a note for 026. McLuhan didn't actually bring modern media like the internet into existence. He merely predicted it.
